چکیده
This paper presents Tempos, a set of models and languages intended to seamlessly extend the ODMG object database standard with temporal functionalities. The proposed models exploit object-oriented technology to meet some important, yet traditionally neglected design criteria, related to legacy code migration and representation independence. Tempos has been fully formalized both at the syntactical and the semantical level and implemented on top of the O 2 DBMS. Its suitability in regard to applications' requirements has been validated through concrete case studies from various contexts. Object Views and Updates Vues Objets Et Mises a Jour
We present a mechanism for updating views in Object DataBase Systems (ODBS). Starting from an existing view data model, chronologically in line with AB91, ADdS94, dS95a], we extend it to provide data update ability. Updates to view data are performed in such a way that consistency with root data is preserved. The main contribution of this paper is to detail such a mechanism together with its co...
متن کاملSegmentation of echocardiographic images with Markov random fields
The aim of this work is to track speciic anatomical structures in temporal sequences of echocardiographic images. Ultrasound images are available in two broad data types: raw or video data. Diierent stochastic processes using diierent kind of information are compared on the basis of these two data types. We explain the selection of a particular model w.r.t. the type of data, and describe the re...

متن کاملSynchronization Minimization in a SPMD Execution Model
This paper presents an algorithm for synchronization placement when using a SPMD execution model, where synchronizations are enforced only when there exists a cross-processor dependence. In this paper we investigate two scheduling techniques, loop based and data based, both of which use an SPMD model. Using scheduling information from previous stages in the compilation process, potential cross-...
متن کاملA Unifying Approach of Data and Task Parallelism Based onStructural
Among parallel programming tools, task parallelism and data parallelism are the most common programming models. Task parallelism enables to reach high performances but requires an important programming eeort. In opposite, data parallelism provides programming facilities close to the sequential model at the expense of performances. In this paper, we show that it is possible to propose a language...
